Cracked Glass in Photoshop

Let us create a cracked glass effect in Photoshop. It is not difficult if you know how. You can use a cracked glass texture to create the effect on any image.  We will also use a displacement map. I will show you how to create it.
Download this free stock image from here. It's from Angel Cage stock deviantart.com
Step 2 : Download this Texture from here.
Step 3 : Drag the Texture over to the girl's image with the Move Tool.
Move it with the Move Tool.
Step 4 : Press CTRL+T. Then SHIFT+ALT to resize proportionately.
Step 5 : Hover your cursor on a corner handle. A two-headed arrow will appear. You can use it to rotate the image.
Step 6 : The Glass Texture has been rotated completely. Click the Tick mark in the top panel.
Step 7 : Click where the arrow points to change the Blend Mode to Hard Light. (The Blend Mode may vary from image to image).
This is how the image looks like.
Step 8 : Press ALT and double click on the Background layer. The Background will change to Layer 0.
Step 9 : Go to File>Save As.
Step 10 : Save as psd file.
Step 10 : Click on Layer 1.
Step 11 : Go to Filter>Distort>Displace.
Step 12 : The Displace dialogue box opens. Click OK.
Step 13 : As soon as you click OK. Photoshop opens the saved psd. Click on it. It is called a Displacement Map.
The cracked glass fits onto the contour of the girl's image.
Step 14 : Click the Create New Fill Layer icon and click on Gradient Map.
Step 15 : Click the Gradient Editor at left and then click on Gradient shown by the small white hand. It is the 'Blue Red and Yellow' Gradient.
 Click OK.
This is how the image looks like.
Step 16 : Reduce the Opacity of the Layer to 25%.
And here is the cracked glass image.
